About LiveClick

Adds feed reading, notifications, favicons, and other enhancements to Live Bookmarks. (Addon for Firefox)

LiveClick 0.3.2.0

The latest version of LiveClick is now available. As previously indicated, the major feature of version 0.3.2.0 is item previews. Hover over a live bookmark item to see a detailed tooltip include the item’s full title and a short preview. Note that not all items have previews and some feeds have none. It depends on the content provider.

As always, your feedback is appreciated.

Hello. Your Add-ons is patronized.
There is a demand.
Could you apply a newly arrived number of RSS to the bookmark toolbar?

Like this.

Thanks for the update, looks very useful. Kakashi’s comment is interesting too, would love to have an unread count in the name of the feed if possible. It would also be cool if you could apply styling to the names of folders that contain Live Bookmarks, but I’m not sure if that’s possible. The way I have my bookmarks organized, I have a folder called Feeds which holds all my feeds and then folders inside that for different categories. If you could style those folders it would be amazing.

kakashi: An option to show the number of unread items alongside the feed will be included in an upcoming version. Thank you for the comment.

Ibrahim: I’ve experimented with styling the parent folders and I’m pretty sure it can be done. Unfortunately it’s a bit slow, so I’m trying to optimize the current code before I can include that option. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi, I’ve nosed around the FAQ etc and was wondering if you could help.  I have live bookmarks in my toolbar and I was hoping that whenever I clicked on an item it would open a new tab and load up the item.  I set up options so that left-click should do that, but it doesn’t seem to work.  Is there something I’m doing wrong?

Otherwise, great features!

The left-click option only changes the behavior of clicking an actual live bookmark, not any of the items inside its menu. This is fairly useless for live bookmarks on the toolbar because left-clicks can’t be overridden there; they’re needed to open the menus.

Currently, LiveClick does not provide any way to load items in tabs with left clicks. It is something I’ve considered, but haven’t included yet. For the time being, other extensions (like Tab Mix Plus) might give you what you want. Hope that helps.
