About LiveClick

Adds feed reading, notifications, favicons, and other enhancements to Live Bookmarks. (Addon for Firefox)

Getting started

Thanks for installing LiveClick! Here are a few things you should do right now to start enhancing your Live Bookmarks experience.

Add the LiveClick toolbar button
imageLiveClick has a special toolbar button that allows you to check for new items, suspend automatic checking, and perform other common tasks. The icon even animates to let you know when LiveClick is checking for new items in the background.

To add it, click Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout, find the LiveClick button and drag it on to one of your Firefox toolbars. You can place it in your navigation toolbar, next to your bookmarks, or even alongside your tabs.

Check for new items
imageLiveClick will automatically check for new items every 60 minutes, but you can request a check at any time by clicking the LiveClick button or pressing Ctrl+Shift+L (Cmd+Shift+L on Macs). When new items are found, they’ll be highlighted orange. Their parent folders will also turn orange to help you find the updates quickly. Read items and live bookmarks will appear faded out.

When you run your first check, you’ll notice a lot of orange, even on items you’ve seen before. This is normal as it takes LiveClick a few checks before it starts to accurately manage your live bookmarks history.

Start reading!
Hover over an item to preview its contents. When you move to another item, the previously previewed item is marked as unread if new. Click any item to visit the page and mark it as read. You can also click the livemark itself (that is, the live bookmark folder) to access its home page. LiveClick offers this and much more.

Important! Firefox must be set to keep history for at least one day in order to accurately store your live bookmarks history and favicons. Beyond that, LiveClick will automatically determine when to clean up your live bookmarks history.
