Monitoring new items
Be notified when select Live Bookmarks have new items.
LiveClick provides three methods of monitoring select Live Bookmarks for new items: Alert, Autoload, and Tag. Monitored feeds obey whichever rule you select in LiveClick’s options.
Alert
If you choose “Alert” as your monitor, you will receive an alert when the Live Bookmark is updated with new items. The alert resembles the one Firefox gives when you complete a download. It displays the name of the site and the number of new items.
Click the alert to load the site in a new tab. By default, LiveClick will load the site location if there are multiple new item or the new item if it is the lone new item. You can change this behavior in LiveClick’s options.
Autoload
If you choose “Autoload” as your monitor, a new item will be loaded in a background tab. If multiple new items are found, the site location will be loaded in a single background tab. You can change this behavior in LiveClick’s options.
Tag
If you choose “Tag” as your monitor, new items will be tagged “LiveTag” and appear in a special smart bookmarks folder. Read any of these items and it will be removed from the smart folder. This provides some great flexibility when combined with powerful smart bookmarks queries.

How do I monitor a Live Bookmark for new items?
LiveClick does not automatically select which Live Bookmarks to monitor. You must do this manually via LiveClick’s options. You can either set LiveClick to monitor all Live Bookmarks (including new ones you later subscribe to), or you can specify which Live Bookmarks to monitor by checking them off from a list.

You can also turn on monitoring for Live Bookmarks one at a time. Right-click the desired bookmark and select “Monitor Live Bookmark.” A similar option can be found in the Live Bookmark’s properties dialog.
You will be notified about new items when the monitored Live Bookmark is next updated. By default, Firefox checks for updated Live Bookmarks every time Firefox starts and every 60 minutes after that. You can change the time interval in LiveClick’s options.
